February: Waimea Canoe race 2/16/13
The season has started. For
the guys that trained all winter, no issue.
The race was at Waimea Pier hosted by Kilohana Canoe Club.
For some reason they had an Open category, an under 40 category and a 40+ category! Considering there are
usually 50s, 55s, and 60s it was quite a blow to some of the older teams having to compete outside of their box.
Our guys decided to just battle with the 40s and came in 2nd! Not too bad for the 60s guys. Namo women took third in their race and the mixed men/women group got gold. Yea Namolokama!
